Small firms and the self-employed can watch HM Revenue & Customs’ (HMRC) online tax presentations and webinars around the clock, following an expansion of the free service.
Previously, users had to register to watch the live webinars at set times and dates. The webinars cover topics including: Business expenses and capital allowances, First steps as an employer, The Construction Industry Scheme, Limited companies, and VAT.
“The webinars allow businesses and the self-employed to access this information in a lively, interesting format on any day of the year, at any time, day or night,” said HMRC spokesman Colin Ford.
“Some people find tax issues daunting, especially if they are setting out in business,” he added. “The webinars are one of the ways that HMRC makes tax as hassle free as possible. This library of advice complements the guidance that is already available on the HMRC website.”
